Launch of ICMA Australia
Launch of ICMA Australia in July 1997 at the function held at Hotel Galadhari in the presence of distinguished accounting professionals and the Past Presidents of the Institute of Chartered Accountants – Sri Lanka. Leon Duval, CEO of ICMA Australia, Prof Janek Ratnatunga, Chair of Education Committee were present at the event.
MOU signing with Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka
ICMA Australia entered in to a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka to provide technical collaboration to conduct Management Development Programmes. The first course on Advanced Management Accounting and Advanced Strategic Accounting was conducted in July 1997 at the ICASL Management Development Center and 12 participants successfully completed the examinations. 
MOU signing with Imperial College
Imperial College signs the first memorandum with ICMA (Australia) represented by Prof. Janek Ratnatunga, Head of Academic Affairs - 14th June 2006 
Official Launch of Academy of Finance
Academy of Finance was officially launched at a ceremony held at Hotel Renuka in the presence of more than 50 ICMA Australia Members and students, on the 19th of July 2009. Prof Janek Ratnatunga and Kapila Dodamgoda unveiling the official Academy of Finance – “The Gurus of Financial Wisdom” logo. 
ICMA Australia signs MOU with The Academy of Finance
ICMA Australia sings the first Memorandum of Understanding with The Academy of Finance (Private) Limited as the exclusive provider of all ICMA programmes in July 2009. Prof. Janek Ratnatunga exchanging the MOU with Kapila Dodamgoda, Managing Director of the Academy of Finance. 
Academy of Finance moves to the new office
Academy of Finance moves to the new office at No 3, St Kildas Lane, Colombo 3 on 1st December 2011 at auspicious time.

ICMA Australia Graduation 2011
ICMA Australia Graduation 2011 – First ICMA Australia Graduation was held on the 30th June 2011at Galle Face Hotel with Hon. Dr Sarath Amunugama – Senior Minister International Monetary Cooperation as the Chief Guest. More than 90 members from the batches of 2008,2009 and 2010 graduated at the event. 
ICMA Australia Graduation 2013
ICMA Australia Graduation 2013 – ICMA Australia Graduation 2013 was held at BMICH on the 30th of April for the new members 2011, 2012 and 2013 batches. Ajith Nivard Cabraal, The Governor of Central Bank of Sri Lanka was the Chief Guest at the event which was graced by a number of distinguished professional as invitees. 
ICMA Australia Graduation 2015
ICMA Australia Graduation 2015 – ICMA Australia, 2015 Graduation was held at BMICH on 29th September 2015 to mark the graduation of 2013, 2014 and 2015 members. Hon. Eran Wickramaratne, Deputy Minister of National Enterprise Development was the Chief Guest and Tim Huggins, Deputy High Commissioner - Australian High Commission was the special guest of honour at the event.
