ICMA (Australia) Hall of Fame® honoured four accounting academics and practitioners in Sri Lanka in recognition of the distinguished service contributions to the progress of accounting. Inductees to the Management Accounting Hall of Fame were Prof M. W. Wickramarachchi, Prof M. T. A. Furkhan and Accounting Hall of Fame were Mr Rajan Asirwatham and Mr James Selvanathan Mather.

Qualifying Workshop September 2019 – ICMA Australia Qualifying Workshop was held at the Hotel Galadari in September 2019 for the senior finance and non-finance professionals from top corporates aspiring to be members of ICMA Australia. During the Seven Day Intensive Programme, two modules on Strategic cost management and Strategic business analysis was covered with lectures, case studies, management games, in-class activities and presentations. The workshop was followed by cocktails at the California Grill.

Paduru Party 2014 followed the great success of last year and continued as a joint event for Academy Alumni and was held at Mihilaka Madura on the 31st of October 2014. More than 150 participants had a memorable night with group singing, dancing competitions and a number of interesting competitions followed by hoppers with kata sambol and embul thiyal, kottu and “rose paan’ and pol sambol.

Paduru Party 2013 was a unique event which was organized as a joint event for the entire Academy Alumni for the first time. The event was organized at the Mihilaka Madura – BMICH for the first time, the ideal semi outdoor location for a traditional event, on 30th September 2013.
